Reuters' broadcasts in Second Life

Reuters today announced that it will be launching a news bureau in the game Second Life. Starting Wednesday of this week, the news service will provide text, photo and video news from the outside world for those in the game. They will also provide Second Life news for those outside the game at secondlife.reuters.com/.

Adam Pasick will be Reuters' virtual bureau chief, and goes by the name of Adam Reuters in game. He ventured, "As strange as it might seem, it's not that different from being a reporter in the real world. Once you get used to it -- it becomes very much like the job I have been doing for years."

OMG that is so bizzare.
So the MMPORG addicts will actually know what is going on in the real world on their Real virtual news.
At least they will be able to raise their chins a little and comment on that dreaded statement made by the non-MMPORGials "You don't even know what is going on in the real world".
