How dedicated are community members?

When chatting in IRC with one of the Frag Doll community members about whether or not he would join the military, I expressed my concerns, and he replied...

" Meh war is war, but if I joined I would baisicaly disappear from the community"

Now that is dedication. He is not worried about war, but missing an IRC chat is something of a concern.

he's in for a rude awakening. i think 2 weeks after being deployed, he will have a new respect for what War is.

Let me guess, it sounds like BCA.

I think joining up for the military for a war is great if your joining for a cause you believe in, but to join just to go to A war, not such a good idea. During a battle the reasons for it the war disappear the moment a bullet goes by your head, but you still need a reason deep down to believe in. *shrug* If it's what he wants to do and believes in, all we can do is wish him well and hope for his safe return home. :)

Yes well no amount of commitment can take the blow mine just did.

That does sound a lot like BCA, but whoever he is, I wish him all the best and a safe, speedy, return home.
