I'm so winning at this new game! I'm almost to the boss, Handshaking! Heard it's a tough, but I'm sure I'll get past him to Connecting soon.

I have this great new weapon, Broadband, but it isn't recognized. Accursed server!

Didn't you hear? Broadband was nerfed in the patch. Instead of getting you straight to Connecting like it used to it forces you to fight Authenticating first. The only problem is that Broadband does no damage to Authenticating, so you get stuck there.
