AIM moment of the day

PeterSam: however, it's better to want than to have
kathunter: interesting statement
kathunter: why do you say that
PeterSam: whenever i get something I want, it depreses me cause that means I have to find something else to want
kathunter: I guess wanting is pretty damn fantastic
PeterSam: spock said in one of the star trek movies
PeterSam: always stuck with me
PeterSam: yeah, having sucks
kathunter: I should rewatch those. Maybe life would be a tad more clear

Enterprise is comming to an end... and this has no relation to the original life altering star wars.

I gave that same advise to a friend in Canada who was having trouble with saving her money. I told her "pretend you have it, convince yourself you've already bought it. Otherwise you'll just see somthing in 10 minutes that you'll 'need' just as badly and won't have money for that either."

with Ebay, there's always something new to want.

Didn't Hannible Lechter say something about "coveting the things we see each day" or something like that....

Kat, your friend isn't named Bill, and he's not from Buffalo... right?

Just checking.

Good advice adam...

Wanting and realizing you can;t have are two different things. I forked out 400 for a video card I really couldn't afford...but oh well...c'est la vie.

btw Kat....that hat really looks like your hair in that pic...skeery

I said Star Wars in my last comment, I'm a dweeb.

I completely agree.
Most of those wanted things should stay wanted things. It doesnt matter how much money you earn. If you have heaps of money, your wants will adjust (in an increasing fashion) accordingly.
Although I dont think it relates to everything. A kiss for example. The thought of kissing Nelly Furtado's lips... even just a peck... has been on my minds for months now. I would imagine if I were to get that kiss, I would be able to re-live it for years to come. Many kisses wash away, but one kiss stays forever. I may then not want to kiss again.
K4C

I have yet to have a kiss that stays forever.

A couple, though, have been interesting, to say the least. :)
