PAX Here we Come!
So the Frag Doll girls are heading to PAX for our first public competition. The four girls who will be competing are some of the meanest type-A shooters I have ever run across. Brilliant to watch. We had a practice this evening, and I had my ass handed to me on a silver platter. But that is actually ok because I have been on RS3 mainly, and had not played a few of these maps in Total Combat mode yet.
I finally bought another XBox, so until Dave asks for his back ;) I have set up an internal LAN system link so I can run through all the maps, find the best grenade spots, and the sneaky sniper hideouts. Having only played console FPS games seriously for a month now, I have a total new respect for you guys. I am determined to get the whole thing down, from optimizing my point of view to dancing while shooting, or I will die trying.
A lot.

Good luck, Kat!
Looks like I won't be able to make PAX after all...dammit. But I still wish you girls a good happy victory.
What's the winner get, anyway? Penny Arcade strip dedications? :)

Sorry to hear about the XBox. Shouldn't airlines insure for shite like this? I'm sure they do, you just have to pay extra for it. That's some fucked up repugnant shit. You know some damn airline employees have your console locked down in their breakroom. Bastiches.
Anyway, you shouldn't waste your time at things like PAX. That'll rot your brain. Think of the guys who play endless hours of warhammer 40k and all it's ilk. That's you if you go down this path. Do you want to end up like that?
Which reminds me, what do you think of WOW? That's another situation like above I don't want to get lost in, but it's tempting. The visuals are pretty fun.
Try taking 15 minutes breaks between Frag Fests up there in Bellevue. Heh, bellevue......fitting name.

"That's you if you go down this path. Do you want to end up like that?"
I already AM like that. And WoW is crack.

The Frag Dolls. Quite possibly...
The. Best. Clan. Name. Ever.
Don't get too discouraged. Rainbow Six is a tough FPS to baptise yourself with.
Good luck at PAX. I wanna see you guys immortalized by Tycho and Gabe.

Ah!
WOW is crack. Yet another reason why I shouldn't play that game. I was never much for the hard stuff. The chronic's all I can handle.
I knew a guy at my last gig who played "Dark Age of Camelot" at all hours of the day. Our lead game designer would stay up all night playing the latest final fantasy. I would leave around 8 PM, come in at around 8 and he would still be at it. That game looked great but I willed myself not to got there.
Since you're already flying headlong down that path, you might as well keep on going. Better to continue than to turn around and find your way back to the main road. Good luck with your matches at PAX. If you can get at least one fanatic gamer guy to scream "HOW CAN THESE CHICKS BE KICKING OUR ASSES!!", you've done gamer girls proud.
Booyah!

I have to say, while I like "Frag Dolls" (did you get the reference to Rag Doll physics?) We were pushing for "Ballistic Betties" for a while. I still plan on doing something with that soon ;)

What about something like "Chromosome Die"... get it? It's like, you could say, "We turn Y chromosomes into DIE CHROMOSOMES shoot shoot shoot shoot shoot" and then you shoot them.
If you end up using it, I need a nickel each time you say it.

All of a sudden, I'm glad that John's not a part of an NFL naming commission.

We met the Frag Dolls in combat @ PAX. Our random Team #6 blew through the first 2 heats of Black Arrow only to face Sepuku, Valkyrie, Eekers, and Brooklyn in round three. Our first match was over in 30 seconds. Just enough time for the Dolls to lockdown all the satellites. The next round we managed to muster 3 minutes of defending one uplink while I tried and tried again to cap a second. It was rough stuff, and of course we lost all three points to end the game.
Next game tournament I end up in will be very scary if the Frag Dolls are involved.
It was awesome though. Thanks for the fun... even if you weren't there.. the others said they had blogs here too.. oh well.

Wow, Great match at PAX Dolls. I think that we only killed two of you for the whole match at the end there. No matter, we still "won" ;p I think we did pretty good for never playing the game before that afternoon. Best of luck and all that and Thanks and Kudos to all who played. You played Honorably!!!!
The crazy hoarse one with the beard!
