The MMO no one knows
"In a genre where trolls, night elves and orcs fight to control middle earth, Gravity Entertainment's anime-based MMORPG seems like the black sheep of the pack. In this light-hearted whimsical title from one of the largest online gaming companies in South Korea, Ragnarok Online combines simplified RPG controls, bloodless combat, anime art and addictive social communities to create a truly unique online experience."[via Lycos: by kathunter]

i think 'ragnarok online' just had a bad launch date. it probably lost some rpg gamers since the players were being teased with larger fan titles. i would be one of these.
the look of ragnarok online looks like a throwback to good snes/ps rpg's: various final fantasy titles, vandal hearts, and (my early favorite) lufia to name a few.
kat, how much are you enjoying ragnarok online currently? i might use the 14-day trial to give a test.. i could use a guide incase i skip over too much of the beginning garbage. :o
as for an MMO that no one knew, i beta tested for EA's "earth & beyond". when it launched, i knew right away it wasn't going to last long due to the very minimal new accounts i saw joining up. E&B only lasted 2 years. too bad i can't find the statistics on the amount of paid accounts for E&B, Ragnarok Online, and other MMOs.. it would give me extra useless knowledge to use when discussing them. :p
