And for lunch we had...me!

Today at lunch was my big test to see if I had what it took to be a semi-competitive gamer, and -- I don't like to exaggerate, or make things sound more grand than they really are but...

I had my ass served to me on a big titanium platter.

It wasn't a surprise. I did not expect to step into a new genre of LIVE play in a week, and come out a rip roarin shooter, but the experience of trying was fantastic. I learned more in a week of gaming than I have learned all month. Between staying up all night, every night for over a week, and sleeping only when the sun rose, waking up and started again - it was like living in a really fucked up combat simulator.

The best part was after the test. Before, we had been grazing all the maps, trying to get as much as we could in a small amount of time, but after the test, when it was all over (and we could actually enjoy SCPT), Michelle and I tore apart the warehouse map, finally understood where everything was, and how to get to the different sectors. I have been playing that single map all night. While I did not impress as a recruit, I did gain a love for a new side of gaming. Look out LIVE, here I come (if you are a Level 0)...
